TalkSport is proud to present the first look at the new apartment block at the heart of the new Melbourne CBD project.
The new apartment building at the site of the old Melbourne CBD building is expected to be completed in early 2020.
The project is the first in a series of apartments to be constructed in Melbourne’s CBD area, following the construction of a residential tower at the former Commonwealth Bank premises at the corner of King Street and Brunswick Street.
The apartment blocks will be made up of units designed by international architects and built to withstand up to 6.2 metres of vertical height.
The first apartment block will be designed by British firm Fergal Garson, which has previously designed residential projects in New York, Chicago and London.
The building will house up to 1,600 people, and has been designed by the firm Garson Group.
It is expected the new building will be complete in mid-2020.

The apartments will include a large swimming pool and spa, and a lounge and dining area.
The buildings will feature a mix of modern and traditional features, including a kitchen, living area and kitchenette.
The city has long been keen to develop its CBD and the new project will help achieve this goal.
The Melbourne CBD has been a hotbed of activity in recent years, with the construction and redevelopment of the Melbourne University campus and the construction or redevelopment of a new hotel at the northern end of the site.
