Zippos have become the latest item on the market to have their prices slashed.
The New York-based maker of disposable lights said Thursday it would slash the price of its new electric appliance, the Zipp Light Blue.
The $39.99 Zipp light blue will now retail for $49.99, a cut of $3.99.
Zipp also announced a $10 price cut for the Zips Zipp Lite, which it said is also lighter and offers improved durability.
The Zipps new Light Blue, which is expected to hit the market later this year, comes in a range of colors including black, orange, red, yellow and blue.
The company is expected sell about 10 million Zipp lights a year.
